The Rancdynasty, one of oldest families of perfumers in the world, has revived two precious fragrances that the family founder Franois Rancdedicated to Napoleon Bonaparte and Josephine, his faithful consort, more than two hundred years ago. Both fragrances are derived from the original compositions as specified by Napoleon to Franois Ranc. Le Vainqueur His fragrance pays significant homage to classic eighteenth century French perfumery. It starts out bright and vibrant through to the freshness of Mediterranean citrus fruits combined with the lively tones of exotic melon and watermelon, which contrast with the lively effects of ginger and nutmeg. Its heart has the sensuousness of jasmine, the purity of lily of the valley, the aromatic verve of lavender and the sharp character of geranium. The base notes make it even more precious: leather and iris wood create an original accord with the embracing tones of ambergris and musk.
