This fragrance devoted to and named after Franois Charles, the only son of Napoleon, is created of noble notes with intense aromas. It brings an impression of walking through a forest, enjoying a harmony of scents which graciously replace one another. Starting with green accords, over the forest flowers and plants, the notes create a fragrant saga in honor of Franois Charles. The top notes waft with neroli, basil, cardamom, floral notes, bergamot and Calabrian lemon. The heart follows with cumin absolute, floral notes, ginger, geranium, cloves, and jasmine, while the base notes include Virginia cedar, iris, amber, leather and sensual musk. The bottle is simply lined, very elegant and luxurious. The fragrance comes as 50ml (1.7 fl.oz.). Francois Charles was launched in 2007.
1.7 fl oz. Eau de Parfum
Francois Rance, the founder of the Maison Rance, taught his sons and grandsons the art of creating awe-inspiring perfumes and passed on his passion for Napoleon, the sublime Hero who personified French glory. Francois' son Jean Rance devoted this perfume to Francois Charles, Napoleon's only son. It was hoped that the young Prince could repeat his majestic father's feats, and like him, bring the great ideals France's victories had introduced throughout Europe to triumph. Thanks to Jeanne Sandra Rance this perfume lives again today, and we can admire its sobriety and immediacy, the intensity of its fragrance, and its continuous variation in notes. It is like walking in a forest through a gradually changing sequence of plants, flowers and wild herbs, and smelling their different successive scents. It is a very manly perfume which goes straight to the hearts of nature lovers. Top Notes: Neroli, Basil, Cardamom, Lavender, Bergamot, Calabrian Lemon Middle Notes: Lavender, Thyme Absolute, Ginger, Geranium, Carnation, Jasmine Base Notes: Virginia Cedar, Iris, Ambergris, Leather, Musk
